Micro-milling is very similar to conventional milling. The main difference between these two techniques lies in the arrangement of the teeth on the drum. In conventional milling, the teeth are spaced farther apart on the drum, with a spacing of about 15 millimeters. In micro-milling, this spacing is reduced to approximately 8 millimeters.
This technique can be used on all types of roads and parking lots. Micro-milling is typically used when there are issues related to surface friction, contamination, or pavement rutting. It can also be used for preventive or corrective maintenance.
It is a low-cost rehabilitation technique with interventions that are fast and efficient.
